Lean Principles:
An Introduction to Lean
The Lean Principles workshop is a single day introductory workshop for individuals with no prior exposure to Lean. Participants will learn the basic principles of Lean, which have their origins with the Toyota Production System:
- Product Value
- Value Stream Mapping
- Material Flow
- Pull from the Customer
- Continuous Improvement
This employee training is ideal for all members of an organization. Managers will learn what Lean can do for the organization and how their role must evolve to enable success. Employees will be shown that their input throughout the Lean journey is invaluable, and this workshop will ensure that their suggestions coincide with the company’s objectives.
Participants will learn to improve their organization as a whole by focusing on the entire value stream, instead of points within that stream. They will also learn which activities add value and which are waste, and how reducing this waste can improve productivity and increase inventory turns.
